When you want to really get energized and feel surrounded by POWER and
professional women, you should come and experience one of the CREW Luncheons.
These women are what I consider the BEST of the BEST. Not because they hold
high positions and have accomplished so much in their lives, but because they lend
a helping hand through the mentor program, the scholarship program for young
women and through the education they offer for their members.
I sat there today and even though the topic about tenants, landlords, todays
economy, banktrupties was not what I consider "POSITIVE", we discussed todays
reality in the market. Then we moved toward the OPPORTUNITIES and LEARNING
what the world will look like tomorrow. Commercial real estate is also changing.
Lending is hard to get these days and the requirements are more stringent.
However, if you have a good business relationship with your bank or lender, they
are still making loans. It's not what you know but WHO you know.
I have a new attitude toward Landlords after todays luncheon. They have their own
troubles and they really WANT to work with their tenants, however, they can't help
them all and they also have their expenses and responsibilities to cover. It's great
to hear both sides. It's good to keep educating yourself in today's market.
