I read an article in Friday's Baltimore Sun newspaper that said that Ray Lewis is not going to give his hometown of Baltimore a discount.  TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE CLICK HERE!

Do you think that Ray Lewis will remain in Baltimore with the Ravens?

Do you think that he will be the center of attention like he is in Baltimore if he goes to Dallas with T.O.?

How long do you think the Ravens should entertain signing him for?

If you are from Baltimore, What will you do (if anything) if he decides to leave the Baltimore Ravens for the money?

One thing that really ticked me off personally was his comment in the article at the end when he says "With everything I given to that city...".  How about ALL of the support that THIS CITY GAVE TO YOU THROUGH ALL OF YOUR LEGAL PROBLEMS, ETC!  In my opinion there is NO OTHER CITY that is going to be as welcoming as we have been given his past off the field antics!  Maybe he has grown up now, but people in other cities don't forget.  I won't forget what Michael Vick did?  Will you?

P.S. Ray, if you do decide to leave just for a buck, BALTIMORE IS NOT YOUR CITY!

Mike,

I honestly don't care what Ray Lewis does, although i was hoping way deep down that he would go for the hometown discount... sorry to hear it.

Wow- I'm shocked to hear this type of talk from a Ravens fan. I'm pretty sure Ray's from Florida; born, raised and collegiately educated. He went to Baltimore via the draft- so I wouldn't call it a hometown, per se. He's STILL the best player at his position and has been for the better part of a decade. He's been the best player and face of that franchise. Why should he work for less than his market value because he's played a number of years there? After you're the top producer in your company for call it 20 years- are you going to take a cut to your commission split for the last 10......after all, your broker and team will stand by you after you're wrongly accused of a crime.......well, until it's time to negotiate. Let him go- he'd look great in a Broncos uniform.

Wow ... this is yet one more reason that I hate free agency.  This is something I'd rather NOT know about Ray Lewis.

Well, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning renegotiated their contracts and took hits.  They are both Hall of Famers and have a lot of loyalty to their adopted hometowns.  They are great players, too.  I don't think they are from Indiana or Boston.

Baltimore stood behind him when the Atlanta thing went down and no other city would have anything to do with him.  Modell and Biscotti have been his biggest ally and stood behind him.  He does owe them a little more than nothing.

However, Ravens can not mortgage their future.  They will make a legitimate offer to him before free agency.  Only time will tell.  Its not whether he goes or stays... Its how he handles the situation.

Also, those great defensive lines the Ravens put on the field make Ray Lewis a great player.  When we had those two bad years on the line, he had bad years.  Bottom line, as Biscotti has said, he means more to Baltimore than any other team.
