A young couple in the Richmond, Virginia area were way over their head with financial difficulties. The mortgage was past due, a foreclosure letter from the mortgage company had already arrived, a courthouse-steps auction date loomed, and the house needed extensive repairs. Their church pastor, who was also a part-time real estate agent, suggested they seek out an early auction sale in order to save their credit, prevent a foreclosure and leave room for negotiations on price, if necessary. It was an unqualified success! There were over 20 registered bidders at the auction and the competition pushed the price up giving the sellers several thousand dollars more than expected. Not only were they able to pay off the mortgage as well as the hefty bank fees, they had some cash in their pocket to move closer to family, something they had wanted to do for a long time. This auction was conducted by Tranzon Fox in Richmond Virginia.
