Don - The Lake Powell area is spectacular. I am writing a post for my main blog on all the movies that have been filmed here. Off the top - think Maverick with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster - some of it was filmed right behind my house but the whole thing was done in the Lake Powell area. Google Lake Powell then click photos - still pretty well undiscovered.
