Why Do You Sell Real Estate?

It seems that sometimes we tend to get caught up in the daily hustle & bustle of life and it can be easy to forget why it is we're working so hard.  So I ask this question:

Why do you sell real estate?

  • Is it the money?
  • Is it the freedom?
  • Is it the people you help?

I think for most of us it's probably a combination of the three.  For me there is nothing more satisfying than successfully navigating a family through their real estate deal.  Handing them the keys to their new home gives me a great feeling every time and delivering the good news that their home sale has closed, funded, and recorded is equally rewarding.

I've always been a self motivator.  Even when I worked in corporate America I created systems to do things my own way.  One of the greatest things about this business is the freedom..  The freedom to be creative.  The freedom to work on my own schedule.  The freedom to fail and the freedom to succeed.

We all know the sky is the limit for income potential in real estate.  Hard work can definitely afford you the finer things in life.  For me it is all about building the best possible future for my family.  The more I put into my business the better future I can provide for them.  That is something that always keeps me going.

So....

Why do you do it?

What keeps you going?

As always, I truly appreciate your comments,

Well said, Nick.

I sell realestate because it affords me the opportunity to spend time with my family and as a mother of 5 kids that is first priority. I have always believed that whatever you do in life you need passion. So for me realestate and especially the technology of it is a passion. I always say, I wish I didn't HAVE to work but since I do, I'm glad I love what I do.

I got into real estate right before I turned 20, back in the early 90's.  So this really is all I know how to do.  I really do like the business.
