Active Rain Glitch: Are Any of You Missing Your Edit Link on Comments You Made to other Active Rain Blogs?

I thought I would throw this out there before I contact the AR G-ds for help.

For the past several weeks now I'll make comments on other Rainer's blog posts, and check the box which allows AR to notify me when others comment on that post. Of course each time someone comments I get an email message about it. I usually will hang in there for a few days and then go back to the original post, find my comment and click the edit link at the bottom of my comment post, so that I can remove myself from being notified of new comments.

For some reason sometimes the edit link is there and other times (more than not) it isn't.

Have any of you experienced this problem?

Jessica, YUP----same here, occasionally. I think it is just another one of AR's little bugs.

Jessica - I haven't had this problem. I think I would let them know about it.

Charles - glad to know I'm not the only one. Thought I was losing my mind there for a sec. LOL

Jason - I'm definitely going to let someone know. Who's the best AR employee to contact?

I know they make layout changes a lot and sometimes features just disappear and you just have to wait for them to come back.

I had a similar issue about 4 weeks ago and asked around until someone told me to email

bobstewart@activerain.com and he helped me. He'll get your problem figured out! Good Luck!!

Shane - I've noticed that too. But this one's been missing for a while now. Well over a month or more.

Jessica - That hasn't happened to me. Maybe they've fixed it by now... I hope so! :)

Hi Debi - I spoke to Bob Stewart via email about this. Apparently they have changed the rules overall that we will no longer be able to edit our comments. And that the send me notifications box in our profile is the only way to control whether we continue to receive comments. I'm not that happy about this change. But I'm sure they have a good reason.

Yes, and I keep getting updates I don't really want any more.......And how exactly do you get the photo in your commments? I do sponsor a localism community....I wonder how to find that out?
