I had two couples through an open and later in the day had a woman call me. They all had the same questions on a theme. What can we do now and how will that affect us with the new legislation going through the Congress and the Executive Office. Well, the short answer is....we'll see. The long answer is don't put off your home-seeking quest regardless. Quite a bit of this will be resolved in the next month, we would think. And, if it continues longer, we can gauge our responses...such as the purchase date ...to make it more in line with your best interests. But, this is the time to buy. There has never, almost, a better time to purchase a home since the 40'a or 50's for government incentives and then you had to be a GI. So moving on opportunity is the best incentive to move right now. Up or down or sideways. Get more home, get less home or get into a better location. MOVE!
Hi Suzanne! I like your message! It's time to stop fence sitting, and shoe shuffling...there is no time like the present!
If the new 15k stimulus package got through it would be huge for all of us!
The best thing to do is to realize that real estate shouldn't be bought and sold like stocks and bonds. Real estate is a home, a place to raise one's family, a place to relax and enjoy the journey called life. Buying and selling every two years seeking to become rich is part of what got us into this mess.
I will see what the magic 8 ball has to say about our current, possible legislation and get back to you.
I suppose the talk on the hill makes many wonder what great plan is out there. Regardless of the final form of legislation, this much is true: rates and prices are very, very low.
It is fun to look back to what people were considering just two years ago.
Everyone needs to do what they must. But, buying a home should be a great first step.
