What will we find, during your Home Inspection?

Roof Ice Dam

Prevent Roof Ice Dams of your home

When we have had several days of roof snow melting, and freezing, when the snow has turned in to water, ans ice. It's very common for it to work up under the roof shingles of the home, until water states to enter the acttic and eventually starts to do damage to the ceiling, insulation, walls, and even the contents of your home.

The summer time is the best time to do projects that will help preventing roof ice dams, and help reduce your energy costs and increase the comfort of the home, for you and your family next winter.

Be sure to watch for more post's and informatron on how roof ice dams are formed and how to prevent them. From Baker Home Inspection and Consulting. (The Home Inspector, that cares about you and your family).

Great post and very thorough! As you know we do not have that many problems with ice but reading your blog, I realize that maintaining a home in your area is more complex in many ways that here in Texas!

It sure is a bit funny, that there has been 41 folk's that have taken the time to view this post. But 39 of them, did not even take the time to leave a comment.

Russell - Thank you very kindly. Every area of the Country has it's own complex home maintaining needs. Folk's just need to learn about the needs of the home, in that area you live in.

Shirley - thats for sure there are no ice dams on the roofs of home's in San Antonio. There is also a good thing in San Antonio, for Home Inspectors. Most of the Real Estate Agent's, do not acted like snubs to them.

Hey Dale - You can keep all that snow and ice up in N.H. - We would not know how to act if we had to deal with ice and snow for longer then a day. (ceil)

We see this problem all the time in MN - my husband & I own Quality Roof Systems.  What is  sad is when we get called on new roofs that were improperly applied and the company has faded away.

My Howdy

there Kathleen

Glad to have you stop by to visit, and to have you leave a real fine comment. Here at my little ole Blogging Homestead

It sure is sad, when folk's have paid out good money. And have their roof improperly installed, and to find out later the campany that did the job. Is not around anymore.
