We all know google is the king in the real estate search engine game. The first trick is to get to the top, the second is to STAY there. I am not tooting our horn, but, we are there and we'll stay there. Obviously continued blogging with activerain will also help keep you in your rank, but, what other steps do you do? It seems google indexes our sites about every 4-6 weeks, we want google to be happy so we feed it a little more every time.
Now this is a bit of work as there are 48 websites (not a miss print, we are in 5 metropolitan areas) and as we add sites this is one of the things google will notice when it indexes. Secondary pages are added about every month for most of the primary sites. As an example is a newer site http://atlantahomesrealestatesale.com I am working on some of the secondary pages such as http://atlantahomesrealestatesale.com/cumming_forsyth_county_gainesville_suwanee_duluth.htm the secondary pages are built by city, county, and community. http://atlantahomesrealestatesale.com/polo_golf_country_club_cumming_forsyth_county.htm
With the many foreclosures now on the market it is reasonable to develop a secondary foreclosure page. This is a secondary page from www.atlantacountryclubhomessale.com http://atlantacountryclubhomessale.com/foreclosure_bank_owned_reo_short.htm the html tags are changed for the different parameters, title tags and description are crucial in these pages. The last thing you want to do is have duplicate pages that are redundant. The length of the title and description? This has always been argued, we like to keep them short and to the point. Make sure all the words are somewhere on the web page.
Lastly do not forget about schools, many folks will choose that as a search criteria, have links to the schools on your site http://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/nfhs/site/default.asp. We also put school search links by price range for high schools, google seems to like that also. Community info links are also help full and build relevance for your website and that is another search term a relocating family will use. Good Luck!
