Home Staging is all about marketing solutions to help home sellers get their homes sold fast. Marketing solutions often translate into playing up or down features in a home to bring out the homes beauty but, many times home sellers run into decorating obstacles like a curved wall.

A home seller can benefit from the creative ideas and expertise of a professional home stager. Recently Exclusive Home Staging of Los Angeles staged 5 model condo units in Redondo Beach, CA. The new Riviera Coast Development features several different floor plans and architectural features.

One of the units was built with a fabulous curved wall with a fireplace that serves as a main focal point. The dilemma, how to play up this feature since artwork could not be hung and painting was not an option.

Here is what the finished solution looks like. We used a wall art decal from Dezignwithaz which offers a variety of designs and colors. The decals are completely removable and will not harm the wall.

Terri ~ What a clever solution to highlighting a curved wall!  Thanks for sharing it with us.  I've used some cute decals in kids' rooms, but never found something appropriate for a main living space before. I'll check out their website!

Terri, this is a great solution! Thanks for posting the link. I will check into the company. As far as reusability, have you found they are easy to store for additional uses?

Here's one other idea for curved walls - I have a triptych of 3 thin red pieces of art and if you hang them side by side, they can work nicely even on a curved wall.

You are right about finding solutions to "problems". In this case you took something unusual, and using your creativity, made it a really interesting focal point. I also love the red leather chairs!

Cathy Lee:  It was great seeing you yesterday.  Google is great at helping you solve issues when there is very short time.

Terrylynn:  It was a pleasure meeting you.  You are right about sources.  I bookmark probably by far too many but you never know when they can come in handy.

Michele:  Placement LOL.  I asked a big guy friend to help me hang it and I made the poor guy move it several times.  I thought he was going to smack me after taping in different directions.  Yes, we are still friends thank goodness.

Tanya:  There are several companies that make decals but this company offered a more contemporary selection that worked with the room.

Kathy:  I am always so flattered by your comments.  Thank you.  I heard you had lunch with Michelle when she was in Atlanta and she enjoyed her time with you.  I look forward to the day that I too can meet with my East Coast mentor.

Ronelle:  Thank you for the comment.  Love the name of your company.

I'm so glad to see this up, I saw some of this in the stores and online, and thought it was really cool, what a great place to use it.

Very cool idea!  Great staging picture too.  Nice to see the dining area..fireplace and bedroom all at the same time!

Thanks for the link.  I am planning on using this in my own home.  I have a dreaded curved staircase with nothing on the walls.  Not anymore! :)

What an excellent way to bring attention to the focal of the fireplace!  Not only is it a curved wall, but having the fireplace off to the side like that poses it's own dilemma.  This is balanced and not overbering - great solution!

I still haven't made it over there to see the models, Terri.  But I will soon.  I'm writing it on my list.  How about tomorrow morning?

Fabulous idea - that particular design is perfect since many other decals can be too 'cute' for an elegant space.
