Mission Viejo Lake - Summer is on it's way!

Wow, summer is on it's way and what a great resource we are blessed to have in South Orange County.  You ask what is it?  Mission Viejo Lake.   This wonderful lake is in the center of the city of Mission Viejo.  It is surrounded by Estate Homes, Shopping, Restaurants and a huge walking path that is highly utilized by residents in the area.

The lake itself features boating, fishing and several beaches and a club house that is available for rent. 

During the summer months you can enjoy concerts, movies in the park, youth summer camp and discovery courses.  Below is a list of events scheduled for the month of May.

• 5/11/07 - Magic, Mom and Me: This is a great night designed for Mom's and Son's to have a special night to enjoy.  Time: 7-8:30
• 5/11/07 - Mom and Me Tea:  What is better then to spend the afternoon with your daughter and enjoy the tradition of afternoon tea.  Time: 4:00-5:30 pm
• 5/22/07 - Top Stick Bass Fishing League -  Starting 8 week program which will combine tournament style fishing with the thrill of competition.
• 5/28/07 - Memorial Day Celebration:  Planning a picnic of family get together to remember all who have and are currently servicing our country then make sure to make your reservations early as the lake fills up fast. guests are not admitted to LMVA facilities until 6 p.m. This policy is enforced to prevent overcrowding of Lake Mission Viejo during peak use periods. The History Behind the Lake:The initial Lake Association facilities were built by Mission Viejo Company and dedicated to the Lake Association for use by it's members. Association members have access to the Lake. Other portions of the shoreline have been developed as private residential projects and a commercial village (Market On The Lake). Smaller private beach facilities around the Lake are for the exclusive use of waterfront homeowners.
