Marco Island, Naples (Collier County),  Bonita Springs, Estero (Lee County), Charlotte + Sarasota Counties:

It's warming up around here!

What happens when it warms up?

Warm blooded creatures, including people get more active, go for more walks, go exploring, go out to eat.

And this includes raccoons and armadillos.

RACCOONS: They start knocking over garbage cans, getting in your cat food, making a real nuisance of themselves.  As it warms up, they start running around more, looking for food.  But since much of their natural food sources have gone dormant for the winter, there's NOTHING TO EAT out there.  So, where do they go?  They go where the people are.

You can start to expect visitations from these critters as the weather starts to warm up.  When you do, give NEIGHBORHELP REFERRALS' AFFORDABLE TRAPPING a call.  Call Ken at 239-465-9291 and I'll send someone over to take care of that raccoons problem. (raccoon removal in Naples, FL - Marco Island, and SWFLA)

BUT!  It's not just raccoons.

ARMADILLOS: Armadillos in Naples and Marco Island start digging holes around your properties about this time for similar reasons as the raccoons, except in the case of the armadillo, their food source is INCREASING in number:  GRUBS.  Many of the fancy grasses and landscaping we have in SOUTHWEST FLORIDA are grub heaven, and the armadillos dig holes underneath these food sources (the grubs), just waiting for a tasty meal.

But meanwhile, they've left holes all over your property.  And you can refill the holes as much as you like, but as long as the armadillo is still hanging around your Naples or Marco Island home, the holes WILL come back.

Call Ken at 239-465-9291 for NEIGHBORHELP REFERRALS' AFFORDABLE TRAPPING or send me an email at simplify3@gmail.com and we'll take care of the removal of that pesky armadillo.

We don't expect too many calls about rats in the attic at this point of the year.  Their heyday was during the cold snap.  But some of you may still be hearing scratching in your attic.  That's our poison-free speciality.
