Love in a Hammock in the Cayman Islands

Some of you read my post some time back called "It All Started In The Cayman Islands".  Well, there's an update.

When last we left our young lovers, they were headed for a few months in the Cayman Islands, where Chad would be doing a work/study semester in structural engineering.  No plans were being made beyond December 19, the date scheduled for Jess' return to Austin.

The trip to the Caymans was a resounding success, by all accounts.  By the time they returned to Austin, it was clear to everyone else, if not to them, that this was The Real Thing and Permanent.

Chad and JessChad is now finishing up his final semester at the University of Waterloo in Canada.  Jess is visiting him as often as humanly possible.  Which is not often enough, from all reports.

So, recently, we got the Very Surprising News that, guess what!  There's a wedding forthcoming!   (We were all shocked to hear this, of course. The average response was, "Yeah, and?  Have you got any real NEWS to tell us?") Seriously, we're all very excited and pleased.  Details are in the works, rings are being looked at, wedding dresses researched online, all the things that go with such delightful news.  Details of Weddings Past are being shared, as well.  In our considered opinions, the two could not be better matched, and it certainly is delightful to see your daughter glowing with happiness.

Just thought I'd let you all know The Rest Of The Story.  Or, at least, the beginning of the rest of the story!

I am, indeed!  This is exactly what one hopes for one's child, that they find someone so well mated to them.
