Sometimes I get asked why a Realtor may choose to refer their clients, or potential clients, to me to do their loans.  There are several reasons:

 1) I care about the client and their needs and wants.  For example, if they qualify for a loan that creates a loan payment that makes the client uncomfortable, Doug will not try to convince the client they can afford it.  Just because it looks good on paper does not mean the client will want to pay the monthly payment.  The monthly payment should not only be affordable, but should be acceptable by the client.

 2) I am honest.  Sure, there are MANY honest loan officers out there.  Most are licensed.  Some are not.  Well, if they are not licensed but work for a mortgage broker in Texas, they are not honest.  All loan officers working for a mortgage broker in the state of Texas must be licensed.  

 3) I am good.  What this means is I will look for, and find if it is out there, a loan program - or several - that will fit my clients' needs.
