I am very proud and excited to have been chosen as RESA's Rookie Stager of the Year for 2009!! A huge thank you goes out to all the Active Rain members, Lori Kim Polk and Valesca Bogart's support! I could not have become as successful within the last 12 months without you. Both Lori and Valesca have helped me tremendously and have both been there to eagerly help me be successful. I appreciate it that greatly. In this economy and market, we all have to stick together. Thank you to all the realtors who voted for me, and hats off to Shell Brodnax for being the Fabulous Queen of RESA!! I am very exctiedabout this new staging & design adventure that I have embarked on - it is both challenging and exciting. I LOVE IT!! Ryan Dressel, owner of Stage Right Design is highly passionate about creating the most awe-inspiring interior and exterior spaces. He is thrilled to use his talents and expertise to invoke that same excitement and passion in others. He firmly believes that, "If you love what you do, you will always be successful."
Ryan has studied abroad in the UK, Holland, France, Spain & Italy. His education includes: Regents College in London, England - The University of Kent in Canterbury, England and Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. Ryan has obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He has also spent ten years working in the mortgage industry with First Franklin, National City Bank and Merrill Lynch. As an HSR Certified Professional Home Stager and Re-Designer, Ryan strives to stimulate the senses by creating a high quality, positive, relaxing home environment based on his exceptional training and eye for design.
In his short 13 months of operation Ryan has achieved many successes. He is the stager of choice for California Closets of Roseville, and is very proud to have staged their showroom. His work has also been featured on HGTV's 2008 show, "The Big Reveal." He was also chosen as the stager for the SMUD (Sacramento Municipal Utility Department) 2008 "Home of the Future", SMUD's first Green / Environmentally friendly home. Ryan is a proud member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, as well as, an active member in RESA (Real Estate Staging Association). He recently was voted RESA'S Rookie Stager of the Year 2009 for the US & Canada.
Ethically speaking Ryan completely assists clients in meeting their needs, whether it is a Realtor or Home Seller, by offering a proposal that meets their financial situation and helps them to sell their home faster. He is an expert on what potential buyers are going to look for. "I want to not only help sellers sell their home quickly and for top dollar, but I want to make the selling of their home a fun experience! It can be a daunting task when selling your home, especially if you do not want to sell it. We all have a choice; we can choose for it to be a nightmare, or we can choose to make it fun, exciting and educational. - I am there to help it be the later." Ryan says.
Believing that you can never have too much education, Ryan has co-hosted staging workshops with Lori Kim Polk and Valesca Bogard of Welcome Home Furniture Rental. He is dedicated to helping the staging community thrive and grow. "The Staging Industry is heading for much greatness; Home Stagers must be prepared for constant challenges and exciting changes." Ryan says. Although new to the blogging scene on Active Rain, Ryan says he has quickly become aware of its importance to not only generate business, but help educate him-self, fellow stagers and Realtors in this ever changing industry. A big proponent of Realtor presentations, Ryan feels you can never have enough practice at public speaking. He has been speaking in front of crowds of 200+ over the past 10 years in the mortgage industry. He has great relationships with Prudential Realty & Coldwell Banker's here in the Sacramento area. His take on marketing is very simple: "Do everything and anything you can think of to EDUCATE and GET YOUR PHONE TO RING". "The worst thing you can do is to do nothing at all when it comes to marketing, like it or not we are all sales people."
Ryan and Lori Kim Polk of "Artful Journey Designs & Staging" have recently combined their talents and have become affiliates. Ryan believes that by combining their talents they can successfully meet their clients increasing needs in today's marketplace. Ryan says, "This marketplace and economy is very challenging for everyone and every industry; sticking together and helping each other out is the only way to survive." Both Ryan and Lori have over 15 years of combined Real Estate experience, nominated as National Professional Stagers, and are active members of the Real Estate Staging Association. Ryan knows that no other Professional Staging Company in California can match their unique talents. They are two separate companies located in Placer County, dedicated to staging the industry forward and are committed to each others success. "If I am not having fun and passionate with what I do, then I do not want to do it anymore." - Ryan Dressel.
