Habitat for Humanity will be holding its annual "Taste of Collin County" Monday, February 23, 2009.
This year the theme will be "Mardi Gras Madness", where guests may sample food from Collin County restaurants.
It will be held at Downtown McKinney 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition to great food there will be live entertainment, live auctions, and a beer and wine garden.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
It is an exciting annual event that is the largest fundraiser to benefit North Collin County Habitat for Humanity's mission to build decent affordable housing for God's people in need.
We are holding this fund raising event to build 12 more homes in our area this year. We recently dedicated our 50th home with three more under construction.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of companies and leaders in the community like you to help us raise the necessary funds.
Over 100 volunteers are required to make this fun and exciting event successful. YOUR HELP AND/OR CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NEEDED!
Volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation and may choose to become involved in the on-going event planning and organization IMMEDIATELY from a list of varied opportunities. Set up and take down tasks are available the day of the event, as well as working at the event itself. You might just have the skill set we need to fill an important job.
