The 21st Annual Ostrich Festival is coming to Chandler Arizona March 13th - 15th at Tumbleweed Park (southwest corner of McQueen and Germann roads). From it's small beginnings in 1989, it has grown to be one of the premier festivals in the Southwest, with attendance up to 350,000 for the three day event.
There is something for the entire family at this fun-filled event. There will be two stages of talent to entertain; with dance, martial arts, and other attractions, as well as spotlighting some great local and national musical talent. A huge carnival midway will have more rides and a variety of spectacular food. Many artisans will be displaying their Arts and Crafts in booths as well. The kids zone is loaded with bouncies, a petting zoo, pony rides, and games just for kids. Of course, don't forget the main attraction, The Ostrich races!
There is also an Ostrich Festival Parade scheduled for Saturday March 7 at 10am in historic downtown Chandler (southbound on Arizona Avenue, from Ray Road to Frye Road). Look for Terra Solis Realty in the parade, as we may be lucky enough to participate in it.
That same day, March 7, is the 5K Fun Run and Walk that starts at 8am in downtown Chandler at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park.

Troy,
What an interesting idea for winter festival. My hometown of Erie, PA has a few winter activities but many summer activities. Guess no one appreciates our weather. That could be why my husband and I are glad to be vacationing in sunny, warm Florida for awhile. Keep posting.
