GREEN????

It seams no mater where you turn you see the buzzword "Green".  What does this mean?  Is there a standard for "Green".

How do I know if a product is green or even Brown?  Is "Brown" better?  Just wondering.  Cardboard is brown and some of it is recycled, so is it then green?

I think we really need to come up with a better standard to define the term "Green".  Almost everyone is refering to their product as "Green", some even seem as if they are misrepresending themself.  If anyone knows of a standard out there, then please forward it.  I would love to know and even share it.
