Sustainable and Stylish - Green Design That is Truly Glamorous!

Here's a sofa that is as sustainable and eco friendly as can possibly be while simultaneously looking so very stylish!

Everything about this sofa from Pure by Amy McKay is Earth Friendly. The seat padding is natural latex, which is tapped from rubber trees, and emits no toxic gases. It is covered in organic wool upholstery, has natural jute webbing instead of petroleum based nylon. The legs are from locally harvested alder, glued together with water-based non-toxic glue and finished with natural linseed oil.

Nice to know that you can indulge in a beautiful sofa with a clear conscience!

Love the design and wondering what this might cost.

Nicola - It is just a teensy bit over $4000. The latex foam padding is 3 times as much as polyurethane foam. Awesomely "green" product though. Even the staples are made from recycled aluminum. Also made in Canada.

Looks too nice to sit on ! Keepin' it Green !

Ed, Oh I bet it feels good though. My pillow is latex foam, like the padding in this. It's the most comfortable one I've ever had!

Pangaea -- I love the eco-friendly idea of the sofa, but that color and style just isn't for me! Where can I find other choices in sofas? I'm in the market for one for my own house.....thanks for any suggestions.
