TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Over this past year, I have been meeting at the Friendship Centre to offer information about some changes that have occurred in the Real Estate industry. The goal has been to share insight with the community and in doing so increase some general knowledge to help with future transactions. Choosing to move out of your home and on to the next can be a very stressful time. With appreciation of the fact that you may have lived in that home for a number of years I felt a fun quiz may help you brush up on some of the changes.

1. What is Seller Property Information Sheet?

2. Do I have to fill one out SPIS?

3. How many copies of the listing agreement will I need to sign?

4. What renovations should I do before I list my home for sale?

5. Do you know what the current mortgage rate is?

6. What is a Chattel and Fixture?

7. We need our home to sell fast what can we do?

8. My neighbour's house is for sale with AX Realty. I know the Real Estate Sales Person at XY Realty. To see the neighbour's house I must call AX Realty. True or false.

9. Since I keep hearing that the Real Estate Market is slower right know my home is going to be worth less than it would have been a couple of years ago. True or false.

It is very important that you form a team with your Real Estate Sales Person making sure you choice one you are comfortable with is very important. Make sure that this person will have your best interests at heart. When you find you have other Real Estate question please submit them to me. I may include them in an upcoming newsletter. This is a great post, Connie. And what a great idea, to share information at a Friendship Centre. I've been playing with the idea of getting a booth at a local bank, to share information with the public ... now I just have to find one willing to do it. It would be a great captive audience.

Sylvie It seems to be working for me. I enjoy public speaking and being new in the buisness I need to do all I can to get my name out there. I am setting up a refreshment booth at a huge events with the Seniors Center next month. I offered to come and they were happy to have be the event is about living well, there will retirement centers and a lot of different vendors there. I will just be the friendly face with the drinks and a door prize all PR. As you may have seen I am also writting a quarterly article for the same groups newpaper with my name, picture ect.. included.

all of this, has cost me thus far $25 now that is good
