Burnout

If you're feeling burned out, burnt out or however you want to spell it, it's time to access what you're doing and why.

Take a few minutes to step away from your work and from all outside influences...if you say you can't, you're probably well on your way to burnout.   Step away and look at your goals.

Whose goals are they?   Are they yours, or are they goals that someone set for you?

Determine what your goals are and what you must do to reach those goals.  Create a simple business plan to reach those goals.   Consider only the needs of you and your family when putting this together.   Consider what matters most to you.  How much money do you need to make and how many transactions (on average) will it take to get you there?

It sounds easy, but we all get sidetracked at one time or another, and only 15% of agents I've ever worked with actually have a business plan they're following.   If you're not following your own plan and reaching your own goals, you're probably following someone else's plan...which is where burnout comes from.   Burnout happens when someone else's goals have taken precedence over your own for a long period of time.
