Strategies for a Shifted Market

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Keller Williams Realty 50461-90

It's been a while since I've posted something here on active rain.   Guess time just flies by.

I've taken on a new role with Keller Williams Realty in Wisconsin.  I'm now Area Director for Wisconsin.  What this means is that I'm now responsible for helping other entrepreneurial agents acquire their piece of the great business model called Keller Williams.

My focus is now in the greater Milwaukee area.  I've been spending a few days each week meeting with top agents in that market and getting to learn more about them and also to get a sense of the real estate market in that part of Wisconsin.

Last week I had an interesting interview with an agent who has also met with some of the other large local companies.  This agent shared with me that when they asked a manager of another firm what the firm's strategies were for helping an agent cope with this market, the manager replied "We're all out of tricks.  We're just hoping the agents can hang on until things turn".

WOW-I'd certainly be concerned if that was my manager.  How about bringing some creativity to your company?  How about masterminding for new strategies that work in this shifted market?  How about teaching your agents to focus on short sales and REO properties?  The list is fairly endless.

So what about you?  What are your strategies for 2009?  How do you plan to Thrive in this market?

That's exactly how I do. I took a training in short sale, learning new scripts, focusing on expireds & NOD. They need us.

I agree with you Besim-they do need us.  But it requires us to learn...something many agents are unwilling to do.  Keep up the great work!
