Are you a newbie blogger or a non-posting member? Maybe you have been commenting for some time and are afraid to just jump in?  I challenge you to challenge yourself!

When I started blogging I wasn't sure how I wanted to present myself or what I wanted to get out of blogging.  To be honest, I thought it would be one of the cool things that I found on the internet, something to try out, wasn't sure if I would bother, heck I thought it would be just a phase.

Yes I subscribed to all of them, yahoo 360, msn-live, myspace, aol-hometown among others and then there was Activerain.  It was love at first sight!   Once I started I couldn't keep my mouth shut, I saw it coming, something really incredible, something I definitely wanted to be part of.  I told everyone about it, heck I even announced at a sales meeting, "Get blogging, us blogger's are TIME magazine's," Person of the Year!

I studied, I commented then finally I wrote my first post!  Oh yeah, what a feeling!  In my mind there is something quite different with this network, everyone is learning, everyone seems friendly, I think it will be ok if I am not perfect.  I think I am just going to jump right in and just learn as I go.

"Wow, I am pretty good at this and you know what I loved it, every single moment."  Who would have ever guessed it would become such a crucial part of my life?  OK, you think I am exaggerating, strong words right? hmmmm, I don't think so.  Just ask around!

For a while I sat on the sidelines, I knew if I didn't get started it would have been just another phase.  Time will pass by whether I post or not and the only person I am hurting is myself for not trying.

In celebration of Activerain's first Mother's Day, I challenge all newbies and non-posting members to post and participate. Whether it's posting an actual post or whether it's comments, whatever challenge you are willing to take,  throw yourself in the mix, it would be fun to stir things up and celebrate Mother's Day, ActiveRain style.

Happy Mother's Day!  I never tried any of the other blogs before Active Rain.  I thought I would not have any interest in them.  That changed when I checked out Active Rain.

Midori, Happy Mothers Day! I get into something then get bored and move on, like my photo website. There just isn't enough there to learn from. With Active Rain it is a learning experience and me being a sponge it keeps me coming back for more, thank you for introducing me to it.

Midori

I can't remember my first blog, but like you I heard about blogging at an office meeting and thought it was just a phase that would soon run out. Then I found Active/Rain and found that there are a lot of good people willing to share thoughts and experiences and that I could even learn something.

I have about 80 posts now haven't broken the 100 marker yet but am trying. I still have no idea how i wish to present myself so, I guess people get to see my many faces. I just hope they like what they see.

05/09/2007 03:30 PM by Gary J Rocks (Sussex County Real Estate)

Gary-Thank you so much for stopping by. I agree with you the quality of the platform is awesome!  Imagine we get this all for FREE!  To me 80 posts are awesome!  I not quite there just yet!  You have stuck it this for I think 100 would be a piece of cake!  What I like best about the network, on the most part we can be ourselves!  Here we can show other's our light!  Everyone has one they just have to find it!  I have to be honest, I feel embarrassed, I realized I have missed some good stuff from you!  So Gary....look for me on your posts!  I have really missed out on some good stuff!  Thanks for stopping by and this was the purpose of the post to get to other's blogs that I have missed out on!

Hi Ann-Thank You and Happy Mother's Day to you!  Yes, it bothers me sometimes that there are 30,000 people on the network, we should see some new blogging going on every day!  I also remember being so intimidated to blog because of some of  you Pro's.  But once I got in, it felt good!  I think we could gain so much more if more people posted.  Thank You for stopping by!

05/13/2007 05:59 PM by Midori Miller-Daytona Beach Florida Real Estate Trainer (CENTURY 21 Sundance Realty)

30,000 in the network.  3,000 same people over and over. How is that any different than everything else in real estate?   :)

You are doing great.  Keep it up.

05/13/2007 06:22 PM by Chris Lengquist, RIPS (Keller Williams Realty)

Thank you Chris!  I really enjoy it!  You are right, identical to real estate!  What the heck was I thinking?  Thank you for stopping by and for the words of encouragement!
