Today is my friend Rica's Birthday and Bon Voyage Party. I met Rica at Keller Williams where she has been working as an "In House" mortgage broker. In honor of her friendship, and VALENTINES DAY, I decided to try dipping strawberries to take to the party tonight at Keller Williams Realty in Kirkland... and you know what?...Making these delicious little beauties was pretty darn easy! Try it for yourself!
Here is what you need for CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES
- 1 16 oz. Container of Strawberries - washed but not hulled.
- 1 bag of (the brand is REALLY important) GUITTARD Chocolate Chips (Milk Chocolate or Semi Sweet)
- Small Glass Bowl
- Wax Paper
- Microwave and plastic spoon
Ok, here is the fun part. Just microwave the chocolate for 1 minute, stir, than zap more in 15 second intervals, when mostly melted, just stir it -- the rest will melt. I gently stirred the chocolate for about 1 minute. Enjoy the delicious aroma. The chocolate should be warm but not piping hot for dipping.
Dip strawberries in chocolate, set on wax paper for a couple of hours or in a fridge if kitchen is hot. Gently loosen with spatula and arrange on a pretty plate.
And that is my recipie! Happy Valentines Day!... and Rica... we are going to miss you! Best wishes!
Julianna
