Hey Guys..you know I love you. I loved you for a long time. 3 Years in fact. You've allowed me to share my stuff with other resepected individuals and real estate professionals on this site. Because of all the real estate networking I've been exposed to all areas of real estate...Lending, Selling, Buying, Marketing, Staging, etc. and businesses and business owners representing them.

There were may times when I could do go the Home Page menu that had the RE Professionals divided into categories of expertise...I could find my fellow Virtual Assistants, Stagers, Agents, Brokers, etc in a nice link from the home page and it would take me right to their category...sadly its no more.

And it sort of makes me mad. I thought this was a network that supported everyone in the industry..not just Agents, Brokers and Lenders..? Now..it looks as though unless you read my blog that says I AM A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT, you wouldn't know that. My profile would not be linked to my fellow colleaugues.

So unless, I'm missing something here...it would be really great our profile categories back again.

I've come to AR a million time to find profiles of people to network with that weren't just Localism bloggers. It would be nice to have a way of finding them again. Are they even on here..?

Am I missing something? If not..I humbly submit my BONE to PICK.

Laura, I agree that the profiles categories should return.  That would be very beneficial to find the right "go-to" persons with whom to exchange ideas and services. Thanks for calling this to our attention.

We agree with you -- we used to be able to go and easily pick a mortgage person or a stager or whatever, it was all so easy -- but now more-- wish they would bring it back.

Laura, that sounds like a vital piece of networking should be returned! I have people in my favorites, but I always like to look for new folks. Bring it back AR!

I have not noticed that... will look when I go there.  I wonder why that was taken out if that is so ?

Hi Roseann~ Yes it was great, we could scan profiles much easier that way. Now there is just no trtace of other professionals, unless you know exactly where to look.

Hi Barbara~ yup..and I haven't found a place to look for others yet either..:(

Hi Bob and Carolin~ Well its puts other professionals at a huge disadvantage of being discovered or found.

Hi Linda~ Right! That is an aweful lot of businesses to hide without having a way of finding them.

Christopher & Stephanie~ Where there is now a link to every city, there used to be Catagories by Professional: ie, Stagers, Virtual Assistants, Lenders, etc...this certainly doesn't help those businesses.

I so understand because I'm still trying to find a way to identify the new Active Rainers that come on.  You can still find people by category, but only if you search by state.  Hope that helps.

Laura - I agree the categories should come back. It not only helps in finding and networking with your colleagues, it helps when someone is looking for a particular category. I'm sure lots of Active Rainers would be searching for VAs if they could.

Laura, good point.  I did not notice that they changed that.

Laura, Thanks for pointing that out, like so many of us here on Activerain, we didn't notice because it didn't affect us directly, I know who you are and what you do because I subscribe to your blog.

Hi Connie~ Thanks for the tip on finding the categories under state, but would rather have the it other way:(

Hi Sharon~ Yes, in fact under our search terms on Google ActiveRain rates very high for "Virtual Assistants on ActiveRain"..I've really seen that start to slip. I'm not sure if there is any correlation..?

Hi Patricia~ Thanks for the support!

Hi David~ Yes, I'm really disappointed..:(

Hi Sonny~ There really are alot of RE catagories that aren't being represented..I might have to go elsewhere..

Hi Castellum~ Yeh...maybe they could make them channels or something..? Thanks for your input.

I totally agree! What the HECK were they thinking?...I personally thought it was a very helpful tool, and I used quite often. I will make mention of it to the development team, and see if we can get it back....

Hi Rich~ I hope you can persuade those AR Gods to give us back our categories in a more prominent position than non-existent:) I would appreciate any twisting of arms!

If you get enough attention brought to it, maybe they will reestablish it.

They are no longer on the home page because we are doing some SEO work and those links on the home page were not driving any traffic to the site even though they were very powerful links. The link I left above is where you can see the different categories. Sorry, our main goal in 2009 is to drive traffic and get our members more business.......if you want to pick that bone with me, you are free to call, as always :-)

Hi Laura, I didn't know about the categories, but that sounds like a good tool to have...A|R should definitely bring that back!

Have a great night,
