The Miracle is found in the Reach

Exodus 14:20-22

21And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. 22And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

The Word of God is full of examples of what happened when people of faith and spirit were in the position of stretching themselves forward.

This text above was the words that I read on the scripture for the day calendar that I gazed upon the last moments of the evening. Later in the middle of the dark part of the following morning I pondered over this scripture. I pictured in my minds eye the iconic figure of the Great Moses, the Deliverer as he stretched his hand over rolling Red Sea. In this act of his outstretched hand, we find a most phenomenal miracle.

The Red Sea parted.... and what followed was a wind that blew all night in this crease in sea, so that the very area that had been the floor of the sea, became a walkway toward the next stop in his miraculous journey of purpose.

Stretching forward can be a most uncomfortable position. It can challenge the mind and often is done by a body already tired, however there is a compelling task that energizes this uncomfortable action ... and in this reach, the divine spark of purpose propels human souls to walk with angels.

The Value of the Outstretched Hand.

I can with great rapidity point other examples.

Abraham stretched his hand out and this act precipitated God to sware a blessing on him.
Israel stretched his hand over the younger Ephraim.
The lame man, stretched forth his crippled hand and found a miracle in it.
Finally, Paul stretched his hand out ... and spoke to King Agrippa.

Let me encourage you on this day, don't hide your hand in your pockets, nor fold them on the table, but stretch forward into the direction of the Lords leading.

Don't wait for the Red sea to part... stretch forth your hand.
Don't accept the status quo of accepted protocol, stretch forth your hand.
Don't wait for your hand to feel better, stretch forth your hand.
Don't shrink from speaking to those of higher status or position, stretch forth your hand.

The Miracle is found in the Reach...
