Seattle's Green Lake Park

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greater Seattle

One of the most widely used parks in Seattle is Green Lake Park, nestled in the middle of north Seattle.  The park is a magnet for numerous events, activities and people.   Surrounding the lake is a 2.8 mile path that is used by walkers, joggers, roller bladers, baby strollers and bikes.  On either end of the lake are play fields that host soccer, softball &  volleyball tournaments.

The lake, itself, is home to the Green Lake Crew team and sees several crew races, Hawaiian canoe paddling races, and the annual Seafair Soap Box derby.  Also, once a year, at twilight luminarias grace the tranquil waters of the lake.

To the south of Green Lake Park is the city's Woodland Park Zoo, additional play fields and an off-leash dog park.

During the Summer months the lake is packed with people.  Many of the surrounding businesses and open sidewalk cafes and coffee houses are filled to capacity as Seattleits enjoy every bit of sunshine.

I love Seattle. Last time I was there my frinds took me to the spot in Redmond I believe where the salmon are jumping right out of the water. Its beautiful. I have been to Green Lake Park as well. Gorgeous!

Green Lake is a nice area and is one of the most active communities in our state. A friend of mine just purchased a townhome just north of Green Lake and he loves it!
