Remember back when you were little? How did you celebrate Valentine's Day? I remember spending hours making valentines with paper doilies and red hearts. Then I'd run around to all my friends' homes and drop the card on the step, ring the bell and run and hide. There was one widow named Mrs. Williams that I especially liked to give her a card and watch her smile. That's how life should be. All of us should be running around loving each other, doing for each other and making each other smile.
I was thinking about the good ol' days yesterday. I went to the store and purchased over $150 worth of candy valentines. This morning I got up and delivered them to neighbors' and friends' doorsteps! It was great fun to ring the doorbell and run and hide. Does anyone do that anymore? I wish I could have seen their faces to know if they thought the deliverer (me) was crazy or if it made them smile.
Today life is very serious. It sounds like the stimulus package has passed and that the President will sign it into law on Tuesday. Is that right? Well, I find myself hoping that this package will help start the miracle rolling so that we can enjoy life, love much and smile big!
