I get birthday cards from several business I trade with and although I don't know if I'd say THAT makes me more likely to continue to do business with them it does to me show good customer service and THAT makes me continue to do business with them.

Personally, we call and sing to our clients.  It completely stands out in their minds (so we've been told) cause no one else does it (well, perhaps friends and family, but not most professionals)!
