By now I'm sure we're all confused about the modifications in the First Time Homebuyers tax credit - Old verses New.  NYSAR just put out a handy chart highlighting the differences and major modifications of the 2008 verses the 2009 Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Here's the link to that chart:

Chart highlighting the major modifications to the First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit> (PDF:309K)

It helped me get it down pat.  Hope it helps you as well!

Thanks for the handy chart. It can make a nice attachment to email to clients, or to mail as a printout.

This is helpful.  2009 Version is a true Tax Credit vs. an interest free loan.

K.T. , Mike, Drew -  It does do a job of clarifying things and spelling out the differences.

Michael - Thanks for the tip.  I've been giving something like this to my first time homebuyers but never thought to include it in a client mailing (I do emailing and enewsletters ).

Margaret - I thought it was excellent too.  It did a great job of clarigying the differences for me.
