Give Your Clients Great Service....With a Services Directory

By
Real Estate Agent with Homeward Real Estate

My clients know they can call me for anything!  From  Babysitters to Dentists to Roofers, they know if they are looking for a particular Moving_vanservice, chances are good that I have someone to recommend.

Ro_oferSeveral years ago, I decided to post a "Services Directory" on my website.  See the rest...at Real Estate Sizzle...

I have several on my site and they come up high in the search engines.

Here is an idea, if you don't feel comfortable recommending service professionals that might not live up to your professionalism.  Upon closing, send them a free subscription to Angie's list .com as a way of saying thank you for your trust, but also allowing the client to pick their own contractor.  As a home inspector, I get ask all the time about who to hire for the repairs.  I simply refer them to Angie's list, this way I am pretty sure they are going to get a good repairman, but also not risking my reputation by recommending someone who might not live up to my professional image.  Plus, now days, you risk liability, by recommending someone.

Robert, a subscription to Angie's list is a great idea. There are a couple tried and true professionals I work with and don't hesitate to recommend, I pause when I think about puting the list of professionals on my website...perhaps I'll add those I recommend on a regular basis anyways.  Thanks for the idea, Jackie!

I don't recommend anyone. I provide a list and let the client choose. My attorney page, lender page, handy man page and house designer page all come up in the top 5 on google and they all bring people to my site.

I've been doing this since my first sale and my clients love it - I do it a little different though. I do it as a software program that is always on their PC - Harder to lose and doesn't clutter up their house as they are moving in.

Jackie, my idea for the day. I am always wondering why didn't I think of that. I have several contractor types that I referrer. Great Post.

I worry about liability if the providers screw up...
