By the time we complete the Inspection, you will know the condition of the propertie better than the owner does!

What will we find, during your Home Inspection?
A AFCI Breaker is not designed to prevent arcing, but are designed to react to certain types of arcs.

AFCI - Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters, have been around for a few years. They are similar to GFCI - Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters. AFCI's are designed to detect certain arcing conditions, which is a very common cause of electrical fires in homes. AFCI's are designed to shut off electricity to the circuit when a specific kind of problem is detected.
AFCI Circuit Breakers

Just like with the GFCI outlets in the home's kitchen and bathrooms, should be tested monthly. So should the AFCI breakers in the electric panel. To ensure that they are working properly. Each AFCI breaker are identified by different coloring and are labeled as AFCI. There are test buttons on them, which induce an electrical arc. Just like when GFCI's need to be reset, when they are triped. So does a AFCI.
If you have a AFCI breaker tripping regulaly, consult a qualified electrician immediately. To determine just why the tripping is happing.
