Five must for business on the go

In this day and age of everybody wanting instant answers and results, is your business in position to handle business at the speed of life?  Think about your own life, need to know something, what do you do, Google it! Whether it's who won the game last night to needing a recipe for something for dinner.  So how can we expect customers to slow down and expect less then speed of life from us?

Again think about yourself, if you can't find the information you want from the source you have selected you quickly move on to NEXT.  So when folk's call you and you have don't have the answer they are looking for guess what, NEXT.

So here's five points every REALTOR needs to have with them even when out of the office;

Email - remember when we checked our email once every few days?  Now people send you and email and call 10 minutes later wanting to know if you got it yet.

Web - maybe you don't think this is important but once you have it you will never go without it.  Looking something up or quickly answering questions for clients is expected

Listings - this can turn into an embarrassment, the clients in the back seat can have listing information and you don't.  Every agent needs MLS information 24/7 and telling people to wait until we get back to the office just doesn't get it.

Contact and Time Management - how can you keep yourself organized when you're away from your office without it?  Keep your appointments and contacts in your hand no matter where you are.

Other programs - whether it's your calculator, voice recorder, having your Microsoft documents, camera and learn what you already have in your mobile device and learn it.

Mobile Technology is a must in today's busy world and only you can make it work for you!

Dick, you are right on the mark.  I am beginning to think that with Twitter and Facebook, e-mail is starting to be dated?  People love themselves so they check facebook profile almost as much as e-mail.  Facebook is also an incredible SOI program for maintaining contact with your sphere.

Also, I love the face-to-face with live speakers and the chance to make a connection, however, with webinars - it can make a dent in the speaker circuit?  Just a thought.

Good morning Dick,  All so true!  Got a question?  I went and purchased a new computer just to get everything all setup and BOOM! my Palm smart phone and other hardware will NOT work with the 64 bit operating system.  I researched and what I found is that Palm has no intention to work something out so these smart phones will work on the 64 bit operating system.  Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I read several searches and they state that Palm has sold off the older systems so they don't even have control over it.  I have been using the usb connection to hot sync and e-sync my phone but with a 64 bit operating system you cannot do this.  I know I can add the data package and e-sync my phone but then you have an issue with hot sync as well.  I read several results that have a work around by utilizing bluetooth but this can take a longer time if you were able to make your computer bluetooth acceptable.  Anyway, with all of the newer computers only having the 64 bit operating system, what are we to do?  Throw away everything we have and start new?  I returned the new computer at Best Buy and they only had 2 or 3 computers that you could buy with a 32 bit operating system and they do not have the speed or memory I would like.  What is your recommendation on the type of smartphone that we will be needing?  I am very disappointed in Palm to just quit on everyone that are using their phones.  Have a good day!
