I bet your guests love seeing all the photos Mary Lou. What a creative way to share your love with your friends and family.
I love it. I have been toying with that stick on wall writing for my house. I love the way it looks.
For personal home, I think it's the cutest thing. Very cute and creative.
I've never heard of or thought of a display quite like this! So very unique and fun. What a great personal touch to your home that your friends and family will always remember.
I think this is a very cute and fun idea! Thanks for sharing.
This is such a cute idea. Thanks for sharing. I may have to do something very similar as I think everyone would just absolutely love it.

I have to say, and this is MY opinion, I don't agree that something so well done would have to be/nor should be taken down and packed away for staging.
Yes, it is personal photos, but well done and ones that reveals the home is filled with love and could be theirs.
The most important selling feature for a home is the EMOTIONAL attatchment one makes with it. Sure if I was a buyer I'd look at the photos...but with a FRICK'N huge grin on my face and a REALLY warm feeling in my heart for the home...and with Mary Lou's house...I'd still ONLY be in the FOYER!
This is a designer touch...that shows what the new owner could replicate themselves. People spend tons of money for this!
Staging like anything has 'rules' but a truely great stager recognizes when a rule can or in this case MUST be broken.
If Mary Lou were my staging client I'd tell her not to touch it!
This is a fun idea. The only thing that I think would make it better purely from a design standpoint, would be if a percentage of those photos were larger --- 8" x 10" --- 11" x 14" --- to add some variation in size. And I think I would keep them at or above the level of the entry table, and if there's room, I'd put in a much longer entry table to underscore the whole collage ... or remove the table entirely. That's just an aesthetic thing. The whole idea is marvelous!
I love this idea Mary Lou. I remember you telling us about this at the meeting--but to see it is so much better. It makes me want to go around kissing everyone I know and taking a photo.
Thanks ladies...Lori you will have come over and see it...maybe we will have next meeting here...
I just found you, via 2 Hounds Design: Toronto Decorator + Stager Dane Caldwell (2 Hounds Design + Home Staging) Dane was talking about your wall. I LOVE IT! I'm going to do this in my house! Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us! Love it love it love it:) Gives me the warm fuzzies :)
I agree and you have an overwhelming consensus that your wall is fab. Looks like you set a trend in creating Kissing Walls.
I LOVE IT!!!!! I wanted to do a family tree in my foyer. I wanted to have an artist (not me) paint a tree, then I would put small black and white photos on the wall.
FYI~ My powder room has famous quotes in black and white. My guests love it!
Mary Lou,
This is a very CUTE thing you have done in your foyer...but curious to know: Do you replace your pictures as new kisses come along, or do you keep adding to your collection?
This is awesome. What's not to love about "kissing" being displayed so beautifully!
Brenda: What a great idea...with the family tree...Love the quotes idea..I may do that in a small bath that I have...thanks for sharing...
Michelle: I just add, but every now and again whenever, I may replace some photos...I have photos that I re-did that were of my mom and dad kissing..also have dogs kissing...etc...
Elizabeth: Dane was talking about my wall...WOW what a compliment !!!
Sharon:: you are right what is not to love about kisssing...
Great idea and how fun! It could work in a for sale home as well - it would create memory.
Beautiful idea, Mary Lou ... I really love it !! Thanks for sharing.
