Let's Make A D.E.A.L. With YOU And Your TIME This Week

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

MontyIn the good old days of maybe three or four channels of TV to watch we all loved the dopey game shows. Let's Make a Deal was no exception. All the characters dressed funny in the audience and huckster supreme host Monty Hall would tantalize them with What's behind Door #1, #2 or #3. In your career and in life

Let's Make A D.E.A.L. With YOU And Your TIME This Week.

It is for your long term benefit so get on board with this one. We all are so busy, you know chopping down the trees. When do we have time to sharpen the axe?

D.E.A.L. for you is simply,

    Drop Everything And Learn.

By setting aside some fixed time specifically for you to learn about something new, or get better at what you already know, JUST MAKES A BETTER YOU. But you have to commit to it and time block it out.

Making a D.E.A.L. with you will always result in what's behind the door not coming up a fuzzy goat, but a trip to the Caribbean, a new car or travel trailer, a 14 day trip through the European continent, in reality a MUCH BETTER YOU, which allows you to do your best in life. With you on this show making a D.E.A.L. and being a constant lifelong "committed" learner, you will always be better to give back to others as a teacher.

As they say on another show, "Come On Down" and spend some dedicated time WITH YOU!!

One of my goals every year is to be sure that I spend at least 30 to 45 minutes a day learning something new or investigating something new.  How does anyone find out about all the great stuff that life has to offer if you don't?  Don't be busy, busy, busy going nowhere in circles.  Drop everything and learn - I love it.

I thought we had decided to stop learning. I try to learn something new every chance I get and guess what, I get to do it often.

I like the 15/5 Rule...spend 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week learning something you didn't already know!

I can't agree more.  There is so many things out there that we can learn, that we really don't have the time to do it.  What amazes me the most is when there is free online classes furnished by the major RE companies and people don't take them.  Not a penny, just your time.  This is an opportunity they should take advantage of and all I see is eyes roll into the back of their heads when I mention them.  Well, I do make the time and try to learn something everyday.

Gary- what a marvelous idea.  And remembering that old game show took me right back to cool tv time with my family.  I can name that tune in 3 notes.

Hey Gary!  As always - great creative post.  Good acronym!  I think you should consider giving up real estate and just become a full time blogger!  =-)

If you are going to FR we are setting up an AR Meet 'n Greet at the Adobe Gilas restaurant in Pointe Orlando, located near the Convention Center on Tuesday evening about 9:00 p.m.

I am a total believer in the learning process and enjoy the challenge of learning new things. I was reading along nodding and then saw "Fuzzy Goat" and burst out laughing! Thanks!

Vivian: You're funny about my book now going into volumes. Past 700 posts you are probably right. I appreciate your support.

Lyn: Make that pause to learn. You will be glad you did.

JL: Some people do have that stop learning philosophy. Big mistake.

Chris and Maria: That 15/5 rule is a great rule.

Gita: Another fan of the show I see : )

Teri: CE classes are great ways to learn.

William: Hard knocks is learning. Don't knock it, no pun intended.

Sharon Tara: I have a very wild imagination is all I can think of. Glad you like reading it and I appreciate you very much for stopping by.

Ron: Have the battle is just showing up. There are a lot of free classes you are right.

Tammy: I like Name that tune!!

Myrl: ME as Monty Hall? I wish I had his money LOL.

Rick: Thanks for the compliment. I wear many hats, and also the notice on the AR Family Reunion gathering. If I am there, I will see you.

Russell: They used to parade out a goat occasionally as a booby prize.

Rebecca: I thought it was a good acronym. It was one I heard from another individual. I don't know its origin but probably from someone's training or coaching program.

Gary, this is a great comparison. We need to reinvest in ourselves and our business in order to really get the most out of it. I love to ask questions and learn new things. Being naturally curious helps me to constantly grow and change.
