View the newest and latest Baton Rouge Real Estate Website!

My new website is up and running and I would love your constructive criticism!

The site was built with the help of z57 using their new 'Lead Generation' template.  I have added my own personal touches with additional pictures and information so it isn't too run of the mill and bland.

The new site allows visitors to sign up for FREE daily listing alerts, FREE Personalized Real Estate Tips, and search all Baton Rouge Homes for Sale plus surrounding areas!

Please give me your constructive criticism on how I can make this site even better!

Toni - Are the stories written by you or a template news? I do think you might fair better if it was your own content. There is also alot of white space under Featured Listings? Perhaps you could fill it up with something?

Good start, Toni....but just a start.  You might want to work on your listing display...good photos, but what about links to area tours, neighborhood tours, etc.  I've written several posts on the fact that they buy the neighborhood first, then they select a home.  A good listing display can go a long way to meeting this need.

Area information on your site in general will, I'm sure, be expanded upon over time.  It's so very important, and customized information on your area is a must.

Customization in general over time should be a priority.  You've got a lot of stock stuff now...work on making it "you"!

Another comment after a quick look: you need "Ask Me For" links so that they will email you for something...you can then start prospecting them.  Ideas include, but are not limited to:

  • Information on short sales
  • Information on selling your home in a slow market
  • Toni's Top 10 Tips for saving money when you buy a home
  • "Should You Wait?"  Toni's recent article on whether or not now is the time to buy
  • Free Senior's packet
  • Free area information packet.
You get the idea.  My suggestion, based on what I've learned from my CyberStars(r): spend 1-2 hours a day on your technology, especially on your Web site and blog.  It'll pay off....

It's a great day here on the lake in Reston..hope it's a great day there in Baton Rouge as wello!

Toni your website looks good.  I use i-house and it seems fine also.  I guess you go with what you think fits you best.
