Madison County, GA Home Sales Volume Flat

By
Real Estate Agent with Retired

Madison County, Ga homes sales were basically flat in January from December. However, both average and median price of homes sold have reached their lowest point in a year. The average Days on Market, D.O.M., also showed a small 1% increase in January after drop for 4 consecutive months. It is still lower than the same period last.

The MLS system divides Madison County into two sections, North & South. North Madison County, as can be seen in the second table, had a slight increase in the number of units sold and an over 2% decline in the D.O.M. Though the average selling price dropped it fell less than South Madison County and the county as a whole.

The last table presents the data for South Madison County. All indicators are showing lower volume, a longer sales time and lower prices vthan the previous month. The following three tables illustrate the home sales market data for Madison County Ga:

Mike,

I hope that the market will start to flatten out for you and hold steady for now.  Although it is starting to show some good signs overall.
