Aligators, alligators!!

By
Real Estate Agent WV0026375

While visiting the Blue Cypress Lake in Florida, we saw a few alligators in the swamp.  As our boat slowed near the edge we watched the alligators, they were very interesting, big, and a little scary.  This was my first time in seeing live alligators.  AND, I was very glad to be in the boat.

What is it about alligators that makes they always look like they are smiling:-)  I think the gator in the second picture should be named, "Fluffy."

I saw your "alligator" headline and then I saw WV and said "wait a minute!" ....

Now I get it...you were in Florida!

I've had quite a few up close and personal encounters with alligators in my life. A couple I consider a little too

close. But they are not agressive by nature like crocs so that's good. Great pictures!

Myrl - a gator called Fluffy  .. LOL

Vicki - Nope no gators in WV; perhaps you should write a post on :My encounters with alligators".

Tom - Thanks for the praise...I like it, since I just started to take a lot of photos...thinking of AR of course.

That is certainly something I wouldn't want to see when I go to a lake. I'm there to enjoy the water and would want to dip my feet in and with those guys around the feet stay in the boat!

Todd -- Me too!  This lake is about 7 or 9" deep. And, great for fishing...not swimming!
