If you are relocating to Michiganyou might want to prepare yourself for our winter whether especially if you are moving from one of the southern states.

Metro Detroit winter weather can change dramatically. Normally metro Detroit gets about 41 inches of snow a year. Temperatures and the weather can change dramatically from day to day. We have a saying here in Michigan about the weather "wait a minute it will change".
When you relocate to Michigan you will have days in January and February that are 0 degrees or right around there. With wind chills you will see -6 or there about. Very seldom do we see double digits below zero except at night.
We have wild swings in weather here in Metro Detroit. We can get 6 inches of snow today and then it could all be gone next week. Like today it rained and was close to 40 degrees. Tomorrow morning we are going to have temps near zero and very gusty winds. Wind Chill may be below zero. It may snow but we have warm spells where it melts completely away.
In December we have quite a few days it rains instead of snows. Welcome to Michigan
