New Construction Problems

By
Home Inspector with Advanced Code Group

Don't think that new construction means zero problems. As a matter of fact it is sometimes the opposite due to deadlines not being met and miscommunication between the buyer and the builder. In addition, there are other issues that occur as you can see by the photos below. Not all problems are caught by the code inspector or the bank verifier and hiring your own private inspector is a good idea. Don't wait until you have problems, hire an inspector ahead of time and communicate with the builder that you have your own inspector.

New construction has it's problems too. (place cursor over photo for description, click for larger photo)
