Now I truly wish I had thought of that powerful phrase.

"A recession is a terrible thing to waste"

I keep saying it over and over again as it is so true.

Credit goes in full to the amazing Brian Buffini. brian buffini

Baltimore was blessed on Monday of this week to host the MEMBERS ONLY "Turning Point Retreat"

Myself and 1200 of my closest friends gathered at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Baltimore to enjoy a full day of knowledge, inspiration, strategies and fundamentals of how to ensure that this terrible economy will help your business prosper. All included in our membership.

It's back to basics.

The day started off at 9am with a technical hiccup with the National Anthem, but audience participation rendered a rousing rendition that included the local staple of punching the "O" at

"O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"

(Come to Baltimore to really understand how that works!)

I think the chaps from California were a little surprised.

Brian as always was on top form. His good friend Joe Niego from Chicago stopped by for a quick motivational minute. Far too short in my opinion, but there is only so many hours in a day.

In summary, the event was terrific. Baltimore appreciated the extra income on this Presidents Day- the hotel was across the street from the Harborplace, so lunch options were abundant.

If you are struggling in this market, then there is no better system to embrace than the teachings of Brian Buffini. Check him out- he may be coming to a town near you very soon. He loves referrals, so let them know that you heard it here!

Hi Ellie, As a native of Baltimore I do understand the O in the O Say Can You See.  I will keep an eye out for Buffini, honestly never heard of him. (not that that means anything)

Brian and Joe were in Raleigh, NC last week and I also found him engaging. I work for Fonville Morisey ( a Long and Foster Company) and they are partnering with this company here for some additional seminars. I really enjoyed the stories Joe told of his personal letter writing campaigns and his refferral business exploits!

That is now my new favorite expression. Someone told me yesterday, "I don't want to look back on this downturn and realize I didn't take advantage of the upside down market." Your quote is better.

I had a coach through the Buffini program for almost 2 years and then dropped out for a while.  I just signed back up because I found that it really gives me a sense of direction (and the referrals from fellow members are not bad as well!)

Ellie, I have never heard Brian Buffini but all the RE/MAX agents I know swear by him. In person he must even be more terrific.

Chuck- I do not take the credit, but it is a perfect summation of current affairs

Kathleen- I too lose focus. A seminar pumps me back up.

Gary- there is nothing like a feisty Irishman to get a room going

I need to get to one of these.  I have been to one training session with Joe, but I have never been to the big one with Brian.  I do the CAP but not the training (yet).  Do you get the coaching package and is it worth the price?

Ellie,

I love that expression too.  It just goes to show that you can always take a "negative" and turn it into a positive!!

Ellie,

Can we get those good photos of Joe and Buff on the Buffini Connect Site?  Particularly, the Whoo Hoo Group?  I was in Baltimore, too.  So many people that it was hard to talk with everyone!  Can you imagine that?  It is for members only now.  You cannot just attend the seminar.  With that said, there were a lot of us there!

It's a Good Life!

Just attended the Turning Point in Santa Clara California.  Very engaging and uplifting although

a somewhat subdued crowd ... I think we have all been beat up a bit.  But we are the survivors.

California was the first to fall and we will be the first to come back and we are.  I'm blitzing and

Buffini has helped my career so much.  Recession what recession ???  Last year was my best

year in the past 4.  Just do the basic fundamentals ... keep it simple and do the note, calls and

popbys and you got it !!
