What I have learned from a big dog: A Journey through Waukesha County with Lars

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

I would tend to think that I know Waukesha County pretty well; sure I know Milwaukee County, Ozaukee County, and many more well after all these years, but Waukesha County has been my presence for quite along time now.

Waukesha County literally has everything you could dream about and need in a home or property. There is an abundance of Lakes within minutes of each other and the selection of Lake homes is superb. Magnificent farms dot the country side, and the villages, cities, and towns have a flair and charm all of their own.

One thing is for sure; I can't remember anytime in my career that the best branding and being noticed was because of my dog Lars; he has me take a back seat to him and I don't mind that. We drive through small towns and people look up and see him hanging out the window. They know him, many by name. If I have learned one thing from having such a canine magnet next to me is that sometimes I just need to say nothing, and Lars be the salesman he is. If there is a great amount of work, and difficulty in a transaction Lars brings some peace and comfort to my sellers and buyers. If there are children Lars is an automatic entertainer and baby sitter. He just has everybody adapting and being their best when he is by them. Do know that some people will even call me and ask me specifically to make sure to bring Lars. It is a strange feeling when Lars cleans up snacks, and gets fed while my stomach may be growling; again, I'll take that. It seems like anywhere we go Larsmakes new friends, or visits old ones.It does not matter if we are driving in any town, whether it is Oconomowoc Hartland , Wales, Waukesha, Mukwonago , Delafield Pewaukee Sussex , or any area for that matter; people have come to know him, and he is the closest thing I will ever have to a living and moving billboard. After a hard day of pounding the pavement he likes to assume his favorite rest area, and he deserves such a commanding spot to keep track of me.

Thanks to my Mr. Moose Lars,

See you at Closing!

Gary,

My son when he was a baby would watch reruns of Captain Kangeroo and stare at the TV when Mr. Moose would be getting crazy with bunny rabbit. My dog somehow adopted that nickname.

However, he is as big as a Moose!

Sincerely

Tom Braatz

My dog magnet is my old 16 year old buddy Winston, a Schnauzer.  Great office mate.

The Princess, being the celeb that she is, cannot risk as many pix of Cosmo and Magic for fear of catnapping and their less fierce demeanor than Lars who looks like he could eat you for breakfast (though we know how you eat) but would never hurt even a kitten...

I think I did; still waiting to hear about my surgery scheduling, and how long I may be incapacitated.
