I'll have to check this out. I'm going to look you up on facebook too.
I really appreciate tips like this. I can't keep up with everything so I look to the Rain for great ideas and yours was the best this month. Thanks.
Jim-- I just added something to make it even easier to connect to me on Facebook through this. Just go back up top and you can add me easy now.
I have been waiting months for this to come out. Its not exactly what I hoped for and more will come for sure but this is pretty cool.
I need to put all 3 on my website, but I'm running out of room. May have to start a page for all of that kind of stuff.
Shane
Facebook certainly is a great medium and has great traffic as well.
Sincerely
Tom BRaatz
I watched the video, seems like a cool idea, especially because once somebody comments you will be able to see who they are on facebook.
This sounds pretty interesting and I am going check into it further when I have more time.
This is SO wonderful, Shane...I had no idea but will definitely do this now:-)
Interesting. I posted a blog the other day about fan pages but this seems even more interesting. I am now going to check it out and see how it all works. Thanks
The interaction is great. The feedback is great. The connections are great. What more could you want?
Well the only thing would be something that works more universally to connect every social network. For now Google and Facebook are split and it will probably always be that way. Thats business.
You will definitely see more come out of this though.
This is interesting ... I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info.
Shane, how do you feel about Facebook's recent policy in retaining users content for life. Do you feel that has devalued facebook?
btw: Great API Developers tool. Thanks for sharing.
Well I dont like it when any site just takes your data or your personal information. I know they got a lot of heat for that and changed back but that does not mean they wont do it again. Another story seemingly unrelated was that of Everquest the video game. Apparently they sold all their user data to some scientists to study human something or other. Now they might not do anything evil per se with it but that's a lot of personal information on there I am sure. I don't like Google's policies either. I realize we give up a lot of information when we are public in our profession but that doesn't mean that everything I do should be public. I should have a choice over what I share. I really don't like my ISP being able to read every single thing I do on the internet but they can.
You know 6 months ago you could have asked me and I would have said its useless. Now I think its probably the most important tool.
Why? Because I had never used it and mistook it for Myspace. Its a lot different and clean. There is a difference.
The new API is making this stuff happen and its bringing a lot of great tools.
Sounds very cool, the video is superfast and a bit confusing, but could be it's 11pm and it's been a long day too! Thanks for sharing the idea, I can see how this would be very useful!
Thanks for the heads up! I need all of the help with this techie stuff as I can get!
