I recently received an email that made me laugh and when I showed it to my wife she laughed so hard that I thought she was going to have a heart attack. I have received permission to have the pics put up on my other site and they can be viewed at: http://washingtonliving.blogspot.com/
We all need to laugh and release stress in this stressful economic time. Laughter is good for us. I understand it releases chemicals into our body that not only makes us less stressful but more healthy. When you are planning your day, remember to schedule time for yourself. Go do something relaxing - maybe yoga, maybe a walk in the park, maybe a drive in the country, listen to some music or play music if you are a musician. What ever it is that pleases you (and is legal) make some time for it. You will like the results.
Yesterday, I it was sunny for a change here in Seattle, and I saw two teenage girls all bundled up in their heavy winter coats and sleeping bags wrapped around them sitting out in the sun on a neighboring front yard. They were reading books and watching the world go by. Relaxing...
I also saw a man in his 60's driving down the road in his blue 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible with the top down. He had a smile from ear to ear. I bet his heater was on full blast but he was RELAXING.
Yes, relaxing is important
Take time to enjoy something just for you in these hard times.
