Are you a "checklist" kind of person?

Real Estate Agent

I don't know about everyone else, but I use check lists daily. I think it is a great way to keep track of all the big and small things that I need to get done, whether it be daily, weekly, monthly, etc. By making these list, you won't feel the same stress you would by trying to hold all your tasks in memory. Generally before I call it a day, or before I go to bed at night, I sit down and right up a checklist for the items that I know I will have to handle the next day. Not only can keeping a checklist help you stay in order, but when you look at it at the end of the day and everything is crossed off and complete, it gives you a sense of self satisfaction.

How do you keep yourself organized?

Do you use checklists yourself?

Tal-

You really should try to implement it, it is such a great little practice that helps you keep your mind clear of having to remember about all the little tasks you need to finish.

I keep thinking I am still able to "keep it all up there" but it's getting harder.  I tend to use the lists more when I am really busy.  So just a question for you - Were you an engineer or teacher in your last life? :)

Hi David,

I use checklists for everything. They are a great tool to add to any business, and they help me stay organized.

David, I try to use a Franklin Covey system.  I still prefer the paper system, I tend to put more into planning when I use it instead of the computerized systems.  Darcy likes the checklist system and it works for her.

I have been using checklists for about 15 years. For me, I like to sit down before ending work for the day and write a list of things I need to do the following day. I find it very helpful and it feels good to start checking things off. I can also make sure nothing gets forgotten.

David, I am similar to you with my lists. It does help me focus on the priorities and it is a good feeling to cross them off the list. Some days I do take a break and just keep them mentally in my mind what I am trying to accomplish.

Check lists are a must my man.  I keep a journal so that I can keep them always.  It's fun to look back and see what you were busy doing 2 years ago and if you have progressed with your work ethic.

Hi Again..

We use lists for everything. Each night we make a list for the next day, each month we make a list for the month and so on. We find it a great way to track our goals, as well as our ongoing business. It works wonders for us. Glad we aren't the only ones.
