Update on the upcoming traffic Mess on I-45 - FIRST WEEK OF MARCH

As a League City Realtor, I'm concerned as to what the impact of this traffic mess will be on home sales... and feel really bad for the business along I-45... It will be great when it's all done though!!! Official TXDOT Notification of Closures 1) Nasa Rd. 1/FM 528, EB & WB at Gulf Freeway, permanent total closure of overpass. Beg. Wednesday, 3-4-09 at 9:00PM. New construction Nasa Rd / FM 528, scheduled opening Fall 2009. Limits: Nasa Rd. 1/FM 528. Detour: East bound traffic turn right to Gulf Freeway SB Frontage Rd, continue to NASA Bypass, use U-turn to NB Frontage Rd or continue on Bypass. For West bound traffic, turn right to Gulf Freeway NB Frontage Rd, continue to Bay Area Blvd., use overpass to Gulf Freeway SB Frontage Rd. 2) Gulf Freeway SB Frontage Rd., total closure of existing configuration (all lanes) at Nasa Rd 1. Beg. Wednesday, 3-4-09 at 9:00PM thru Saturday May 5-30-09. [See detour]. Limits: SB Frontage Rd at Nasa Rd. Detour: SB Frontage Rd traffic turn west (right) to FM528, follow detour to SB Frontage Rd. For EB traffic to NASA Rd, continue SB Frontage Rd to NASA Bypass, use U-turn to NBFR, to NASA or continue on Bypass. 3) Gulf Freeway NB Frontage Rd., total closure of existing configuration (all lanes) at Nasa Rd 1. Beg. Thursday, 3-5-09 at 9:00PM thru Saturday May 5-30-09. [See detour]. Limits: NB Frontage Rd at Nasa Rd 1. Detour: NB Frontage Rd traffic turn east (right) to NASA Rd, follow detour to NB Frontage Rd. For WB traffic to FM 528, continue NB Frontage Rd to Bay Area Blvd. use Overpass west to SB Frontage Rd. 4) Gulf Freeway NB Main Lanes, total closure. Beg. Friday, 3-6-09 at 9:00PM thru Monday 3-9-09, at 5:00AM. (*) Limits: NB Main Lanes at Nasa Rd 1. Detour: Exit at Ramp #25 (Nasa Rd) , continue on NB Frontage Rd. to next entrance ramp, north of Nasa Rd. 5) Gulf Freeway SB Main Lanes, total closure. Beg. Friday, 3-6-09 at 9:00PM thru Monday 3-9-09, at 5:00AM. (*) Limits: SB Main Lanes at Nasa Rd 1. Detour: Exit at Ramp #26 (Bay Area Blvd.), continue on SB Frontage Rd. to next entrance ramp, south of new Nasa Bypass.
