So we complained.

So AR team listened.

What a great team!

A few days, we complained (including me) about the default Assessibility setting being "member" only.

I also wrote in a comment to Brad's post that the Rainmaker icon on each photo (portrait) in the comments section is an eye sore.

Today, I found:

1, they have changed the default assessibility setting to Public again.

2, The comment section is being complete redone and the rainmaker icon is move to the left-above corner.

Great job. If the AR team are so close to consumers, it is hard to not succeed. Most often of the time, business owners, when growing out of the break even point, would rely "assistant" to gather information from consumers and would rely on lots of red tapes to approve and respond to consumers' complaints.

They do listen.  That is one of the most amazing thing about this network.

Lenn and Gary, I think that is key to success, for any business, big or small. The shorter the distance decision maker are from consumers, the closer a company will be success.

I really like having the photo out of comments too...that was not appealing to me.

It is amazing that the Rain Gods can be as atuned as they are..and the other thing is they would be some sort of real miracle workers if they could find a way to please us all all of the time !

I didn't know anyone had complained about that members only thing. Thanks because I didnt like it either. I kept publishing members only and then forgetting to go back and fix it.

I like the new look too. It took a plain boring page and made it jump out. I dont care what anyone says its a good thing. I noticed there is a negative nancy posting above this and complaining about all the changes. If people hate this place so much then why are they here?

I am wondering where the notify me of any comments went. Do we still get emails letting us

know when a comment has been made or did that go away?

It's nice to be a part of a network where the decision makers listen, and act upon the suggestions.  They seem to have been extra busy this week.

I'm surprised how many people focus on the changes all the time and not real estate.

I'm not sure why sometimes the photo seems to be included in the comments, and sometimes not.  I like the photos included - I can attach a face to the comments without having to leave the post.  It also lets me scroll quickly to my own comments, so I can check whether the writer has responded to my remarks.

Active Rain is so terrific! And, you are right...they do listen and I have found that "they" always help. I have gotten personal calls and emails when --- I was having a glitch in my blog and I was amazed at how our Rain gods were sympathetic, helpful and very responsive...that is why I love it in the Rain...

The photos were just back for a moment not even a minute ago. It must be a bug because they are definitely meant to be showing. I like them myself.

I alway change it to draft anyway so members, public does not matter to me.

I like the new feature where you can get the comments on the post without commenting and turn comments on and off.

Active Rain is a very responsive bunch. I believe that they are in the progressive stage to work out the kinks, they are doing their part and we have to do our part to be patient (which it can be tough sometimes!)

I just realized the changes with the photos on the comments (I have been out of town and am just now getting back on AR). I like it and agree with you that they were an eyesore. I didn't realize that they had moved the Rainmaker icon to the other side. Good suggestions!
