GREAT News for Top Producer 7i Users!

By
Education & Training with Agent Breakthrough Consulting

Are there any Top Producer 7i users out there that are having a tough time switching to Top Producer 8i? I know I have had my share of challenges...I just received some great news this week! Top Producer mailed out a letter to I believe all Top Producer subscribers stating:

"We know you, like many other 7i users, have become familiar with using Top Producer 7i in your daily business. We want to reaffirm our commitment to our 7i products and advise that we have no plans to retire 7i in the foreseeable future."

Originally, when I have talked to some of the representatives at Top Producer the plan was to phase 7i out in 2009, but it appears there has been a large push by the consumers to keep it around.

Top Producer 8i does have some nice features though - espically when building action plans and inputting listings and closings. I  made a quick video on how to creat your own action plan in Top producer 8i:

THIS IS FANTASTIC! I had posted a request for someone to explain how to change one of the templates in an action plan, but obviously this is the way to go. Thank y ou so much! I really appreciated hearing this.

Travis - Oh my gosh, I love this... I can not tell you how hard it has been lately for me to find the time to learn all the new tools that keep coming out and the use them effectively for my business.  I have been a top producer user since it originally can out in doss.  (A long time ago.) I don't mind telling you that this latest upgrade I was not feeling all warm and fuzzy about switching over.  I just didn't care for the interface.  Thanks again, perhaps this will help me dive in.

I didn't get the letter you mentioned, but I am SO glad to hear the news.  I really miss 7i (so easy!) and have completely discontinued using Top Producer at all rather than try to figure out 8i.

It is good news. I just hope that they change 8i to include some of the features we need in 7i. When we are on the phone with a prospect, we like to be able to view the information on one screen: Contact information and all of the notes. We are correcting and changes notes and contact information on a constant basis. And, we need to able to email the contact record to our associate agents and the loan officers. We want to have a screen with just the contact record without a hundred other things at the same time. We too have considered dropping TP if they eliminate 7i before making needed changes to 8i. However, we have expressed our needs many times without the needed results.

Travis, thanks for keeping us updated!

Now, if they would only be able to update the Java applet for 7i so you don't have to deal with websites trying to use the lates Sun Java, and either not having the site work correctly, or having to re-install the old MS java applet to use 7i....

I have used Top Producer for 17 years, and at least they actually LISTENED to their customers this time!

Keep us updated, and thanks for the GREAT training videos!
