La Canada on Course of Amgen Cycling Race

Stage 7 of the Amgen Tour of California race passed through La Canada Flintridge on it's way to today's end, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

We were at one of the turns, and captured a picture of the cyclists as they went by. It was quite exciting, and was over quickly!

Lance Armstrong was somewhere among the competitors.

Tomorrow is the final stage, with the course stretching from Rancho Bernardo
to Escondido

Fran and Rowena, thanks for sharing this with me. I was really thrilled to see this event.

We were too. There was a crash along the course as the cyclists came down the hill. Quite scary. It was amazing to see how fast they were going, uphill, and around a curve!

Thanks Fran and Rowena - you were mucho brave to go out and get this great picture. I hide inside to avoid getting ran over! You hot chicks are awesome! Happy Sunday to you....

How exciting!! My inlaws saw the race too and brought my kids all sorts of parephenalia, the best of which was the yellow sidewalk chalk which made for a wonderful afternoon of outdoor art!
