Being a structural pest inspector and all, more into wood destroying insects than vermin, I had to notice a news story I saw today. And, with Sean Allen, down there in Florida, being a regular here in the active rain, I had to read the details about the ceiling that was raining mice.

It seems that the mice are "infesting" the courthouse in West Palm Beach. While the story seems rather amusing on the surface, I guess that it would be lacking in that department if you were afraid of mice, or if you had to pay money to get rid of them. I am thinking that I ought to loan Florida my office assistants....the feline variety... they are into paperwork but would certainly jump to this challenge.

You can read the mouse story here.

You can admire my office assistants below:

It's amazing to see the results of a cat in the house.  Mice don't have a chance.  From my experience, cats like to play with them until they are expired but I've never seen them consumed.

Richard,

I would bet on Tigretto and Fratello, the boys, any old time.

Steven - I agree with Richard. I rarely if ever saw one of my cats ever eat the mouse, but they sure had fun playing with it...

Hey you two goofy guys....give the cats some credit. Would you want to actually eat the thing?

That must be some operation you've got there. Exactly how many furry assistants do you employ?

Jim,

Kind of a cross between a circus and a zoo. Total three, Nutsy, who is second in charge, then Tigretto and Fratello.

I had an REO with mice running around in it in the daylight!  With me there!  The pest man just put out some mice pellets and some sticky paper.  Mice ran across the sticky paper, stuck, couldn't get off and died and smelled horrid!  Wonder if this would be considered animal cruelty.   Being mauled by a cat might be more humane.  Your cats are cute.  Are those real necklaces or did Charlie make them?

Barbara,

They are cute and a handful. We call those collars and they are real.

Let a couple cats loose in that court house after hours. Guarantee no mice in a week or two.

James,

My office assistants are in training, getting up to speed on that as we converse. I will be writing a ground-breaking blog on them tomorrow. They are a feline Swat team.

I saw that story also. Man alive, if I worked there I'd be asking for a lay-off notice! There is no way I could handle mice in my purse, and mice dropping on my head. No way!
